My name is Sarah Bueno. I am from Downey, California, and I have an associate’s degree in Studio Art and a BFA in Animation, specializing in Pre-Production. My interests include character design, concept art, and storyboarding. Digital art is my primary medium, but I enjoy experimenting with various techniques and am committed to discovering new methods that suit each project. This applies whether I'm working on animation, graphic novels, or games. For the past two years, I have been working actively with Mattel Inc. as a storyboard artist for their stop-motion videos on Mattel Action for Jurassic World, Cars, and Chaos Theory!

My passion for visual art began in middle school when I would read comic books and graphic novels, which was an escape for me during a difficult time in my life. I felt awed that people created these as their careers and were able to inspire my creativity. They encouraged me to create stories and begin writing, which led me to draw and so on. Although my journey to becoming an artist wasn’t straightforward, I realized that I enjoyed creating and found the confidence to pursue this passion.
At California State University of Long Beach, I served as a leader for the Society of Student Illustrators and Animation for 3 years, guiding students, building networks for our community, and coordinating events. I love working with people and finding ways to help and participate in any way I can. It has taught me to work in a team and build skills in communication, time management, and organization. During my free time, I enjoy playing DND, video games, and weightlifting. My goal is to collaborate with others to create stories that connect with individuals.
